Hot Buttered Popcorn Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

chaosmanor: They have tapped into the electricity on this side of the fence for the construction on the new shopping center west of the theatre. We suspect that this cache was removed when they hooked everything up. As a result, we are archiving this cache; it's going to be months before they are done, and there is no reason to keep replacing a cache that is in an area of high activity. When they are all done, next year sometime, there'll be room for several new caches; with any luck, at least one of them won't be an altoids tin in a lamppost skirt [:)]

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

The title should tell you roughly where to start looking.

And if you really think about it, the title will tell you at least a little about the container, too. It's cammoed in an appropriate way After that, you and your GPSr are on your own! The new container is much like the old one, but it has a rubber O-ring under the cap, to keep moisture out. Thus, you don't have to push down on it to open it; just twist the cap to open the cache. Please be sure that the seal is tight when you close it. Thanks!

Please take a little care when retrieving it. Push up a bit and it should be free. You might need to feel around a bit to put it back properly.

UPDATE: on New Year's Eve of 2006, a letterbox was hidden less than 100 feet from this geocache. We also letterbox and have found this one. If you find a small box with a rubber stamp in it, THIS IS NOT OUR GEOCACHE! Do not sign the logbook in the letterbox unless you have a rubberstamp and log of LBs that you have found. Logs will be deleted if we find that you have signed the letterbox and not this geocache. Please put the letterbox back as you found it, and continue the search for this cache. The stamp is *not* swag! It's how one proves that one found the LB. If you want to learn more about letterboxing (quite a fun hobby), check out atlasquest.com and letterboxing.org for more info.

Have fun!
