A short, level, walk around the beautiful Talybont reservoir.
Talybont reservoir is 2 miles long and occupies 318 acres. It is the largest stillwater lake in the Brecon Beacons. Although boating is not permitted there is limited fly-fishing for trout available.
There are fabulous mountain views all around the reservoir and the Taff Trail runs along the heavily wooded side of the bank.
It took 16 years to complete and there is a camp-site at the dam end of the reservoir. There are some excellent walks up into the Brecon Beacons close at hand.
The cache involves collecting a number of clues en route in order to find the final cache. The above coordinates are for the limited roadside parking area where it is recommended that you leave your car for the one mile walk to the cache. It is , however , possible to drive around the route.
