Vertighost: Cache Owner (CO) has not responded, so the cache is being archived to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking new cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace this cache sometime in the future (not to exceed 10 days from the date of this entry), contact me via email (vertighost@yandex.com), and assuming it still meets the current Guidelines, I will consider unarchiving this cache.

Please be advised this is not a guarantee that this geocache will be unarchived. Several factors will go into my decision, the most important of which is how you responded to geocachers who tried to communicate with you regarding the problem(s) with this geocache hide and how you communicated with me.

Geocache Description:

Located in the River Bend section of the Bandera City Park, near the river across from a set of steps. Area and walk to get to cache is overgrown, has mild climbs, but there are easy ways to get to the cache. Just pick the right trail to get down to the river.

08/10/07 The area is not exactly a natural area any longer. A frisbee golf course has been added and so the tall grass is cut down. A tee for one of the holes is not far from the cache so access to it is much easier now.

Cache is a peanut butter jar with camo tape.

The River Bend Nature Trail land was acquired in the 1990's. After the flood of 1978, when 24-48 inches of rain fell in a 1-2 day period, flood plain regulations were enforced by FEMA (the area where you will park your car was 10+ft under water). It happened again in 2002.

The park has 2 entrances, with a paved trail linking them. Many of the trees and plants are labeled. Wildlife is abundant. Explore and enjoy your time here.
