cdparker1: My 13th oldest cache has been evicted from its location. Like many of my caches, the intent was to highlight a really nice location and bring people to a spot that they may have otherwise driven right by. It did not quite make it to 9 years old and some might say that it should have been relocated or evicted after its initial 2-year run but that shows you that there was no real interest by the powers that be in geocaching. That is until the yearly event of placing and subsequently archiving caches became "the thing" to do to draw attention to the NYS Parks.
Those that love the goal oriented aspect of this yearly challenge will applaud the group for doing this. Those that are about the numbers may feel the same way. Heck, we gave it a shot one or two of the years, but just never ended up having enough time to travel all around to grab the caches and submit our entry.
