The Alleghenian: Well, somebody got a nice ammo box. I can't believe this cache lasted 10 years. I used to check on it regularly because I walk my dogs up there. It was always a problem. Cachers didn't re-conceal it after logging it. Once it was actually left in plain view on the trail! Uncooperative cachers always made this one frustrating but I did long enjoy the logs coming in. I hope somebody places one nearby. It's a lovely place to cache. The ocean breezes are wonderful.

Geocache Description:

CACHE PLACED AT 358 FT. ELEVATION ABOUT 7 FEET FROM CLIFF DROP OFF.

Park in front of Sports Authority in Encinitas @ N3304.073 x W11715.978. Proceed on foot west up Leucadia to paved walking trail. You must cross Leucadia via pedestrian bridge. Observe signs restricting access to golf cart paths. Container has been upgraded to a 30 cal. ammo box. Please place concealment back on box when it is returned to it's hiding place. Keep children back from cliff face. Cache is about .43 miles from recommended parking as the crow flies. Terrain is rated 2 stars due to 250ft. change in elevation from parking to GZ.
