Join us Saturday,
September 23rd!
Clean up from 9am to 12pm.
Cookout from 12pm to 2pm.
The clean up begins promptly at 9:00 am at the posted
coordinates for registration, and runs till Noon. The area our
group is assigned to is the Upper Tanyard Creek area. This is the
same area our group cleaned up last year.
Each participant should wear old clothes and bring a pair of
gloves. We will provide trash bags and bottled water. Everyone who
participates will receive an embroidered patch for their
participation. This patch is your admission ticket into the cookout
picnic that follows our clean up effort.
The cookout will begin around 12:00 at the Riverside Park Day
Use area. Directions to this park area are located in the hint area
on this cache page. The cookout is free to all clean up
participants.
We had such a great time participating in this event
last year, that we decided to make it an annual geocaching
CITO tradition! So please make plans to attend!
As an extra incentive to attend, we'll hand out raffel tickets
to all participants for a prize drawing. Many prizes were
generously donated by Oak Coins and Hogwild Stuff. You can visit
their online stores at www.geoswag.com and www.hogwildstuff.org for
geocoins, geopins and other cool caching goodies. An original 2005
Old Geezer coin will be awarded to the participant who finds the
most unique trash item during our cleanup. The winner will be
selected by Johnnie, AG and Slayerette.
This event is open to everyone and this page will be updated as
more information becomes available. Other cleanup info can be found
at http://allatoona.sam.usace.army.mil/GALC/cleanup.htm.
