Since
GeoTyke has joined our ranks, and found a passion for caching,
we have found geocaches suitable for kids especially
appealing. So what does that mean? To us it means easy
to reach and full of swag for kids ... and preferably near a
park. As we all know, these are sometimes hard to come by for
an urban find, so we decided to plant this cache.
We combined the cache for kids idea with the
another type of cache we love, one targeted for trading travel bugs
and geocoins! You should find the cache stocked with tradable
goodies along with bugs and coins ready to explore.
If you stop by Freestone Park first and park
there, you will have about a 1/3 mile walk to the cache.
There is a crosswalk with a stop light so there is no need to dodge
traffic to make it to the cache site. On your way to the
cache you will see a couple of small farms. If you're with
the kids, be sure to check out the farm animals and
horses.
If you park at the closest spot west of the
cache, you will also have about a 1/3 mile walk. There is a
small lake close by the spot where you might park. It has a
sitting bench and is a nice place to rest if you are looking for a
quick break to watch the ducks.
We hope that you enjoy visiting this
cache. For the sake of the travel bugs and coins left behind,
please use your stealth skills and please replace the cache EXACTLY
as you found it. It's an easy find for us cachers but, if
properly hidden, it should be well concealed from the
muggles.
Happy Trails ... Team
GeoQuest and
GeoTyke.
