Geocache Description:

A relatively straight forward offset cache on Salisbury Plain. The cache is placed on a public footpath but I urge caution if the red military flags are flying at the bottom of the track.

This cache went walkies towards the end of 2007 so has been replaced at a new location with an update on the solution to its location; this is much simpler than the previous requirements.

We suggest you park at the waypoint below, but if you’re feeling lazy and have a 4x4 or similar it is possible to virtually drive to the cache.

We placed this cache in an interesting and poignant spot that had long been mentioned by Erika’s grandfather Harold, but one that we personally only recently discovered. Harold loved walking in the area and enjoyed the views.

At the coordinates above you will find an unofficial pet cemetery housing about 30 graves, some dating back over 25 years. From reading the graves complete the following sentences or answer the questions. These will lead you on to the cache.

When was the dog who was “Simply The Best” born? AB Jan 19CD

The cache can be found at:

N51º 1A.8C(C-D)

W001º 4(B-1).(C-D)(B-4)0

This is a very short and easy walk away from the cemetery. The actual cache is a smallish plasticcontainer in a black camouflaged bag housing the usual array of goodies!
