Geocache Description:

Plastic container similar to a sports drink bottle but cammoed.

These are the last remains of Fort Chaney, certified as one of the oldest last remains of this type on this hill... Would you believe they are the remains of a Nike Shoe missile base used to protect Los Angeles from incoming waves of Adidas bombers from the dreaded islands of Ked?? How 'bout this was a foundation farm used in growing house foundations which were used in the construction of mail order houses back in the early 1911's (came with a mail order bride or a can of peanut brittle)?! How 'bout I got no idea what this was but it's a neat place to kick off from to pick up other caches just around here, like Millard or Un-Bearable. This area is fun to hike without too much stress and offers good family outings from hill hopping to cayon searches with a waterfall not far from here. The only drawback is the off road parking fee in the guise of an Adventure Pass and the parking near here is a little limited but if you come on a weekday, early, there should be no problem. There are a couple of TB's on board(one is a virgin Jeep TB) with a scratcher for FTF and other fun things.
