General prairie/riverside terrian including grass, weeds, trees,
sagebrush, soft uneven sandy ground, brush and stickers. You are
looking for a well hidden 50 Cal ammo can. Be sure to reuse the
abundant natural coverings to rehide this one completely.
Sadly, I was forced to retire my original Converse Walk
cache due to new development. However, this is just too nice of an
area so I just picked up the old box (cleaned it out and added new
stuff) and moved it further down the pathway. New logbook and new hide. This is a very nice
walkway along the North Platte river in Douglas Wyoming. Along the
walk are a number of informative signs about local wildlife,
plants, trees and some history. Best way to the cache is to park at
the small park next to the bridge across the river by the middle
school. N42 44.963 W105 23.597 for parking area. It is about
4/10ths of amile to the cache but an enjoyable walk. This is also
in the area of the Historic Oregon Trail. Take a lunch and enjoy
the benches placed along the pathway. Cache is hidden just off the
path and may require a few moments of study to find the best way.
