YOU CANNOT ACCESS THIS CACHE FROM OUTER LOOP OR THE ON RAMP.
Read below for the best access. This is our first cache hide. We
have tried to make it similar to the ones we like to find. Micro
caches with logs are OK and easy to hide, but we always like the
ones that have little goodies and travel bugs in them. We're going
to try to make most of our caches meet the following guidelines. 1.
Fairly easy to get to as an easy find always makes for a good
caching day. 2. No bushwacking. 3. No bugs, poison ivy, spiders,
mosquitoes, other natural hazards. 4. Cache will be able to hold
goodies and travel bugs. 5. Cache will have good log. As you can
tell, these guidelines were sort of determined by my non-nature
loving teenage daughter. We look forward to hiding more in the
future. It makes it a little more difficult to find a good place,
but I think you will find them worth it. Now on to the specifics of
the cache. It is just one light away from I-65 so if you're
traveling by, we want you to stop and pick up or drop off a travel
bug. This is a decon container with goodies inside. YOU WILL NOT
GET TO THE CACHE FROM OUTER LOOP OR THE ON-RAMP TO THE INTERSTATE.
Go East of the freeway to the light and turn Left. There is an
access road that takes you to within 20 feet of the cache. Remember
the guidelines numbers 2 and 3. From the cache, on a good day you
can see Texas. You will NOT have to get to the other side of the
fence. Cache is located north of the fence.
Update: 9/26/11 Cache has been adopted by
MEE&NEE.
