An interesting piece of the history of Humboldt can be found at the primary coordinates. Read the account and reverse the last three digits of the year it took place. For the location of the micro cache add 10 to that number to complete the N coordinate below. Add 160 to that same number to complete the W coordinate.

There is an excellent parking place completely off the hwy, and a wide shoulder. Please use caution when stopping and park completely off the right-of-way for your safety. You can accomplish both stages from this location, for it is is only a short walk to your target.
