Do YOU know the trail system at Cayuga Nature Center? You will by the time you are done with this series!
The coordinates above do NOT take you to the geocache. They will lead you to the middle of Cayuga Lake, along which the Cayuga Nature Center is located. Hike the trails of this fabulous location, just outside of Ithaca, NY, on Rt. 89. There are six trails waiting to reveal a geocache to you...and within each of those cache containers is a clue to finding this cache! Find all six, put them in order, then hunt down the final.
The Cayuga Nature Center trails are open from dawn until dusk. During the summer months, there is a general admission fee for exhibits, trails and attractions here. Donations are much appreciated, as that will help ensure the future of CNC projects, like a turtle pool.
After parking your geo-mobile in the parking lot, stop by their Main Lodge to pick up a trail map. Also inside is an information board with pamphlets on programs, a live animal exhibit, and the gift shop (where they have cold water). Did I mention that they have five miles of trails? Do we take you on all five miles? No...just most of it.
