1000 Thanks To Renegade Knight. I have always appericated RK insiteful wisdom and diverse caching activties. So this cache tries to reflect that. I had to resist the temptation to place my bison contain in a ammo can and hide it. So this cache breaks the tradition barriers.
You will need to move a small rock to retieve this cache once you get to it. I drove most of the way in but you may prefer to walk the last couple hundered feet. Bring your tweezers and pencil. Please rehide as well or better than found. I don't think you will need a hint, I will add one if needed. I may also be a bit harsh on the ratings.
Keep the kids close by as there is a firing range a safe distance to the left, where you can target pratice. But when you walk in the brushy areas the ground sinks into the dens of all types of desert critters.
This cache is 1 in a series of 11 hides. The purpose of this series is to tribute, the help, kind and positive actions, we share with our fellow cachers. There is no way I can mention all the wonderful people I have seen helping, and supporting each other. So I have compiled my list from what has affected me the most. But rest assured I have not forgotten the praise, support and encouragement at all my other mile stones, 100, 200 and so on.
I have chosen the fellow cachers that gave me their Congratulations for my 1000th find. The idea for this cache came one day when LD and Joanne and I were blasting e-mails off to each other a few days after my 1000 milestone. I think we where talking about hides and I spouted off I will hide a cache for each of my 1000th well wishers. I had each of them pick a number of caches they guessed I would have to place and to my surprise my guess came the closes, but rest assured I was sweating it that those two would put me in my place and have placing hides for the next month. But those two kind souls that they are didn’t make me put up or shut up.
Today I loaded 11 cache containers into my pocket and drove to Initial Point. Stopping along the way when I saw a place that made me think of each of these 11 find peoper. All containers are bison but are hidden in a variety of way. Three of them were hard for me to place as I was in ammo can country as I call it, but I bite the bullet and got it done. You will need to bring a pencil and if you have them your handy tweezers.
Thank you again for taking the time to stop and Congratulate your caching buddies be it their 100th or 1000th cache. I know some times it is tough to stop and respond to some silly thread, but it is that comradely that help keep caching strong.
Here are the Hides in this Tribute.
