Forgotten Park Spring Multi-Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
This multicache is located in Glen Bard, Antigonish County on land named the James River Provincial Park Reserve.
Before the TransCanada Highway was constructed, all would pass this little day park via highway # 4. The artesian spring at N 45' 34.774 W 62' 09.690 lured thirsty travelers from the highway. The water resource is used today by locals and traveler alike. Unfortunately the day park is not. The little park was abandoned and now is overgrown with only the looping driveway to indicate its past.
The first waypoint is posted near one of the entrances at N 45' 34.692 W 62' 09.640. The cache is located at a second waypoint not far from the spring.
The cache originally contained: an adjustable monkey, a Crayola postcard kit, a set of mini screwdrivers, thunderstix, an ice / hot pak, an LCD glow stick, fire starters, a spring clamp and a collapsing water container.
