Geocache Description:

Great cache for kids located at the Neet Bridge between Rockville and Bridgeton, Indiana on the Red/Black routes of Parke County's Covered Bridges. There is a parking lot located on the Bridgeton side of the bridge, if coming from Rockville, drive across the concrete bridge and take the first left, parking is located right there. Cross the bridge (opposite side of parking lot) and enjoy!

The Neet Bridge
This bridge is on Parke County's Red/Black Covered Bridge Routes. The Neet Bridge was the last covered bridge contracted by J.J. Daniels, he was 78.

The bridge was named for nearby landowners, Joseph and George Neet who each farmed property adjacent to the bridge. Later, Robert Detrich, owned part of the section at the bridge through 1959 and many also call this bridge the Detrich Bridge. The nearby property was called Detrich Tree Farm. The bridge was built in 1904, crosses Little Raccoon Creek, and was repainted in 1989 by Boy Scout Troop 469. The area around the bridge is maintained by neighbors, Bob Lowdermilk and John Tilton.
