Team ((Echo))
has been planning this one since we got involved with
geocaching. We had a good idea where we would hide the cache
and what kind of container would stand up against the harsh
winters, wet springs and hot, dry summers. This is a simple,
short multi-cache where the posted coords will take you to a spot
to find a micro-cache with the coords to a final cache location
which is a large (12"x7"x8") ammunition can, clearly marked with
geocaching markings.. This should take you less than 20
minutes or so and I think should be accessible year
round. I have lubed the seals and checked it for water
tightness. Please be discrete when retrieving and
replacing the micro-cache as it is in a high muggle area. The final
spot offers some privacy for you to look through the cache contents
and log book.
We have kind
of themed the cache with camping stuff, please try and keep to the
theme, there are all sorts of camping swag items located in the
Manning Park Lodge store if you do not have any. If you are
leaving 'GPSr Food', please make sure they are in a baggie so in
case they leak, they won't eat everything in the cache. I
have left several different sized baggies in the cache so that you
can bag anything you leave to keep it dry. Please keep in
mind that we are only up this way once or twice a year, so if the
cache needs attention and you have the ability to keep it in
repair, please do so. Also, we have stocked it with a lot of
decent swag, please trade even or up, lets keep this cache and it's
content a quality cache. There is an FTF certificate and I
had intended on getting a Starbuck's cert. for the FTF cacher,
however, I ran out of time before the trip so as far as FTF prize,
goes, take whatever strikes your fancy without needing to leave
anything.
Both waypoints
were averaged twice over 3-4 minutes with less than 3m
accuracy.
