Geocache Description:

The cache is in the Sewerby area of Bridlington quite close to a footpath leading from the village area towrads Danes Dyke.

The above co-ordinates are for the entrance to the car parking area in Sewerby Village - 60p an hour - which is the recommended star point for this off set cache. There is limited free parking sometimes available on the road outside the nearby Methodist Church. The cache and its off set can be visited within the hour.

Coastal Retreat is so named as this area has been (and still is)a coastal retreat for my family for over 30 years. Additionally it is so called due to the fact that it appears there is a lack of caches on the East Coast in this area suitable as coastal retreats for TB's and Geocoins. The cache box is only 1 litre in size and therefore smaller TB's and geocoins are suitable.

From the car park you must visit a prominent notice board at the waypoint shown on Sewerby Fields (this is through the field used as a car park at the bottom end of a small cluster of trees) to solve the answers to the poser as follows:

Study the tree formation on the board and working in an anti clockwise direction counting upwards from Revenge which is 0, you will find the full coordinates for the final cache location.

A - Defence, B - Colossus, C - Temeraire, D - Bellerophon, E - Achille, F - Mars.

The cache is a 1 litre tupperware style box containing a log book, 2 pencils, pen, sharpener, cache card and FTF card and at the point of launch it contained a TB, Geocoin and the following goodies: Tazmanian devil toy, small digger, smiley face magnet, tape measure key ring, panda puzzle.

The cache is located reasonably close to the popular public footpath leading from Sewerby across fields towards Danes Dyke via a gold course. The area is also popular with dog walkers and therefore stealth is required, especially at the neight of holiday season. GPS accurach can vary but all my tests put me in the immediate area of the cache. Please ensure that the box is well hidden from all angles after your visit - there are plenty of materials in the area of the cache to cover it well.
