Høldippeldammen is a reservoir about 2 kilometers from Nittedal
train station, and served as drinking water for the surrounding
area from 1961 to 1989 when Nittedal got connected to Nedre
Romerike Vannverk. With economic support from the municipality and
a considerable contribution from the locals the lake was turned
into a very nice recreation area. The place was officially opened
by the Nittedal's mayor in 1994, and today the place is a popular
destination for bath hungry people on hot summer days.
There is a road up to the lake, but it's blocked by a gate. You
can park your car by the gate at N 60 03.888 E 010 51.338 and walk
the last kilometer. Bicycles and strollers are no problem.
The cache is a cylinder, about 20 x 6 cm, containing a log book,
pencil and some tradeble items.
