Geocache Description:

Located In Madison's Indian Springs Park.

(This is my Wife's Cache...At first she hated Geocaching...now she wanted her own Cache and Travel Bug.)

The Indian Springs public park is located off Engelhart Drive...near Highway 14 and McCoy Road. You can park right at the curb...in front of the park's entrance.

There are houses across the street from where you park...but no one looks out their windows. Every now and then you will see people in the park walking down the trail...but far and few between.

There are paths to walk on but some minor bushwacking will be needed later (steping over fallen trees and logs). Nearby, there is a stream...and the ground will be muddy after a rain.

Note - (In the summer, the mosquitos will gather their friends and welcome you to the Indian Springs Park Feast).

You are looking for a Big Brown 50 Cal Ammo Box (rabbit season is over)...in it is a log, pens and whatever else people stuffed in it.

For the "FIRST TO FIND", there is a new, unregistered Travel Bug in a white envelope...take it with you...it is yours.

(2) Tell me what you really think the Terrain/Difficulty Rating is.

Geocaching activity is only allowed in general parklands in the City of Madison and Geocaching activity is prohibited at: Forest Hill Cemetery, Olbrich Garden, City of Madison conservation parks, Odana Golf Course, Monona Golf Course, Yahara Golf Course, Glenway Golf Course and areas with identified Indian Mounds.

All geocachers will be respectful of all public parkland. No digging or penetration of ground surface will be permitted. Trees, shrubs and plants will not be disturbed or altered at any time.

Questions related to access, policies, regulation and protocol regarding geocaching in the City of Madison parks will be submitted to WGA liasion R. Veroeven who will report directly to James Weisnstock, Parks Operation Supervisor.
