This charming building, located on Pond Brook Road in Magalloway
Plantation, has been known as the "little pink church" for as long
as we can remember. Construction of the church began in the year
1906 on land which had been donated by D. M. and M. D. Sturtevant
in 1902. The first recorded meeting was held on October 29, 1913,
with services held regularly up until 1962. Since then, the "little
pink church" is used occasionally for weddings, baptisms and
funerals. In recent years, two services are held annually, the
Harvest Service in early October and the Christmas service in
December. Both are very well attended with standing room only.
Cache is a decon container and is located outside the church.
Please bring your own writing instrument. As it will not be
possible to get to the cache once there is much snow on the ground,
the cache is accessable for just three seasons.
Cache is located OUTSIDE. It is not necessary to go into any
part of the church.
Please be sure to snap the cover
on tightly to prevent any moisture from getting in.
Thanks!
Good luck!!
