Located near Summit Lake in Hatcher's Pass at an elevation of 3836 feet. One of the grandest unspoiled views you'll see. Not hard to find, but some steepish terrain gives it a 3.
The container is unusual...a flat metal non-ammo can with official geocache sticker and US flag on front. The cache is located some 10-15 feet off the trail. The surrounding area is rocky with moss covered ground. There are cliff-like terrain nearby, so care should be taken with small children. The area is high in marmot traffic!
Some beginning contents are: logbook with magnifying glass, alaskan bookmarker, two travel bugs, map of Little Big Horn Battlefield, small Coca-Cola sign and a Joe Redington Sr 1997 25th Anniversary Iditarod card (autographed).
