Geocache Description:

A wee walk involved to this Cache, although would make for a good morning or afternoon of exploring. The cache has amazing views and wildlife.

The Glendale estate area of Skye is a place that i've been staying in since I was born, 34yrs to the day. My family have a croft in the Milovaig township and it was there that i spent my childhood holidays. So, when visiting last weekend I thought it would be fitting to start placing some Geocaches in the area, and show everyone some of my favorite places.

Sgeir nan Willie Mhor (when you see it, it'll make sense) is located below 'Waterstein Head' a truly amazing sea cliff. The geology fanatics will love this area. There is a fault line and the ground is slowly slipping into the sea. Wildlife twitchers may see the Sea Eagles, Buzzards, Ravens, Crows or even the local Otters...etc..etc.

When we placed this cache we also paid a visit to the Waterstein Head trig point and then when down onto the beach to the caves, for a bit of beachcombing, etc. your could tie it up with a visit to Neist Point to see the Lighthouse (privately owned) or onto one of my other caches in the area.

The co-ords for the cache will take you to the Sgeir... then the hunt is on. Readings can vary a bit.

So.... i hope you enjoy this cache and find it not to hard (its well hidden you may want to look at the spoiler picture.). Be carefully of the cliffs.

Aye,

J33P KN.
