Geocache Description:

Welcome to Team Bobnpatt’s first Geocache. We named this cache Popes Head Stream Valley (SV) Park Micro Cache in honor of the undeveloped Fairfax County Park that it is located in. We are grateful to the FCPA for approving our use of the park for this purpose. Popes Head SV Park is named for Popes Head Creek, a tributary of the Occoquan River that runs through Fairfax Station fairly close to chez Bobnpatt. Both the park and the creek are named for Major General John Pope, commander of the army of Virginia during the civil war. Here is a picture of Pope’s head.

This cache was hidden as part of the One Degree of Separation Geocaching Project. It was one of the seed caches taken from Cacheabel’s – Lettie geocache (GCWBKV).

Because we had a tough time with signal bounce, we took four readings and averaged them. Feel free to post different/better coordinates if you find the cache. We suggest parking on Innisvale Drive, just North of Fairfax Station Road.
