Geocache Description:

A 3.5 mile circular walk (though may well seem longer) starting with a good steep climb to get you going. I recommend sturdy walking boots or wellies in winter. Trainers only in dry spell as one bit of the walk is always slightly wet (and sometimes very!). Not suitable for pushchairs, even those fancy modern all terrain ones! You're looking for a small tupperware container hidden at the end of a multi-cache walk!

Park near the given coordinates... Clue 1 ===== Did you watch Channel 5's Prison Break? Well try breaking out of here...! Answer A is "How many bars are blocking the window on the door?" Now proceed to N51 20.(A+4)38 W2 19.(A*6)7 Clue 2 ===== Got your breath back yet?! That's the only hill, honest! You're now looking for two numbers, a fraction really that looks like XY/Z. B will be X-Y-2, and C will be Z+Z. Now proceed a short distance to N51 20.81B W2 19.2(C/2)4 Clue 3 ===== Look for the name of the CVW who is remembered here. Take the first initial of his firstname and the first initial of his surname and add their positions in the alphabet together. This gives a two digit number, the two digits being D and E. Update 28/2/2010 - The plaque remembering the CVW is in very bad condition and had fallen down. If you can't find it, then use this clue instead - "An unknown dead American" - D and E are the same. Now proceed to N51 20.6(E)3 W2 19.(D+1)22 Clue 4 ===== Does any animal spring (well slither really) to mind?! Is it happy (5) or sad (3)? This is F. Now proceed to N51 20.4(F-3)7 W2 19.2(F+1)0 Clue 5 ===== Fancy refueling? Who would you call when you've run out? The number is 0G76G H5JJJJ. Now proceed to N51 20.J53 W2 19.HGJ Clue 6 ===== Would the Village People have lived here? If so, when? This is KLMN. Now proceed to N51 20.6LL W2 (N-K)M.58(M+2) I don't think I'm giving too much away by saying this is a long stretch, basically follow your nose and you shouldn't go wrong! You'll see a water tower on your right just before you start descending a rocky track (known as Pipehouse Lane) down to Midford. Take care going down here as it uneven and slippery and is more of a stream after a lot of rain! Clue 7 ===== If Warminster is 13, then P is Bath+2 and Q is Frome-4. Now proceed to the gate at N51 20.(P+2)28 W2 20.4(P-Q)Q Clue 8 ===== Who made this gate? What is the most frequently occurring number? This is R. What number occurs four times? This is S. Apart from these two numbers, what other number occurs in the same position in both phone numbers? This is T. Now proceed to N51 21.R(T-S)T W2 20.SST Clue 9 ===== No clue here so relax, turn left and head through the gap in the bank and enjoy this lovely spot for a minute or two... ...before making the final push for... YES, at last, the cache itself!!! Triumphant fanfare etc :-) The cache ======== Using your answers to clues 1 to 9 go to the following location: N AG JS.JQS W J DL.P(A+N)H I wonder wier it is? You shouldn't have to get (too) wet to find it! Hopefully. From here it's only a short walk back to the start... I hope you've enjoyed this little excursion... Why not visit the Wheelwright's Arms seeing as you're so close? I think you've earned it...!
