In an effort to aid in the preparedness of Geocachers, I have
created the Worst Case Scenario Geocaching series. This series will
highlight the neccesary tools every geocacher should carry with
them.
Featured tool: Broom
Scenario #1 You are on a cache run with your best caching pal,
when on a routine skirt lift your friend accidentally touches a
bare wire and starts getting electrocuted. What should you do?
Answer: Electricity travels through our bodies, so you'd get
shocked if you touched your buddy. It doesn't travel through wood,
though, use the stick to knock your friend away from the light
post.
Scenario #2 You are at quite possibly the most boring Cache
event ever. What should you do to spice things up a bit?
Answer: Add a little Limbo Rock! Have two people hold the ends
of the broomstick while the others squat down and limbo through,
feet first, head last. Each time you go under, have them lower it a
bit more. How low can you go!
Scenario #3 You arrive on the scene at a FTF and you catch the
local FTF hounds in a dogfight over the cache. What should you
do?
Answer: Hold a broom between the two cachers, then start showing
the two cachers your bowstaff skills. While they are paralyzed with
laughter, grab the cache sign the log and hurry home to be the
first to log! (yes water works too. But you need more than a water
bottle's worth! You'd need a blasting hose to stop the fight!)
Cache is an orange matchstick container right where you think it
is!
