Spencer Pond,1.5,1.5,Foster,RI
The Spencer Property was
generously donated in 1999 to the Foster Land Trust by Mrs. Spencer
in memory of her husband, Dr. Spencer. The first quarter mile of
the trail is handicap-accessible with a picnic area near the pond.
The trails on the Spencer Property are ideally suited to birding,
hiking, equestrian and other non-motorized recreational activities.
The trailhead and parking area is located off Old Danielson
Pike(use west approach as a bridge is out along the east approach)
near East Killingly Road at co-ordinates 41° 49.203N, 71° 42.825W.
Another cache, 'Spencer Property', is located further down the
trail about 1 mile from the trailhead. This one is not
handicap-accessible.
