You may park before you turn in the mall road that leads in to the fortress. There is an open place in front of a garage on teh left side.

Grindalen skanse er en av flere festningsanlegg i Elverum fra slutten av 1600 tallet. Den er anlagt på vestsiden av Glomma like sør for Grindalen gård. Her var det også et sundsted (ferge) over Glomma før bruene ble anlagt. Se for øvrig linken over.
Cachen er en liten sylinder ca 2,5x10 cm. Den inneholder info, loggbok og en blyant.

”Grindalen skanse” is an old fortress in Elverum a little bit south of Grindalen farm. It was buildt in the last 16th century. The river Glomma is passing by. Here was also a ferryplace a few yards north of the fortress. This fortress is one of several fortress around Elverum, and there is some caches on at least two more. You can also check the link.
This cache is a small cylinder apx 2,5x10 cm. It contain a logg, some info and a pencil.
