Remember the "Moot" Traditional Cache

While Geocaching.com would like to continue to hold the location for you, doing so blocks other cachers from placing caches in the area. We feel that this cache has been disabled for a period of time exceeding what is reasonable for the area, and thus I regretfully must archive it.

If you are able to get out and replace the cache, simply drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. I will be more than happy to take a look at it to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting.

Geocache Description:

Located on Harsen's Island. Park at the boat launch used by the sheriff and fire department.

This geocache was placed during the Raft-up 2006. It is a charity event and an attempt to break the Guiness world record for the number of boats ited up
at one time. So far the unnoficial count is about forty boats over the old record of 1,450 and we raised close to $3,000.

The cache can be reach by driving to it or you can reach it by boat and drop anchor just west of the site and walk ashore. It is a county road so you can access it at anytime.

The last ten yards are pretty steep so we gave the terrain a 2.
