Geocache Description:

Near our home turf - no fear of muggles across the street - just the ones on the road!

As a bit of history, this cache is in a small town many northern Illini do not know exists - even those who live in neighboring cities! It is named for American financier Russell Sage - he was a multi-millionaire who lived from 1816-1906. The cache sits across the street from the building that at one time WAS the old Russell Train Station. (It has been relocated, and turned into a residence.) An amazing amount of people passed through its doors, as there were at one time many business, and just north of this location, an old Horse Track which you can still see traces of in current Satellite photos. (Visit the gallery to see!) Should be an easy find, this one is 'for fun' - not frustratingly difficult, and no bushwhacking involved. Finding a place to 'park' is the most difficult - I recommend a short stop with your hazard lights. If there happens to be a Travel Bug present - take it along if you can move it! We want to keep those TB's moving - no need for trading TB's - just move them if you can!!
