Geocache Description:

THE COORDINATES LISTED ARE NOT THE FINAL COORDINATES OF THE CACHE
They are the recommended parking coordinates - you need to solve the puzzle at home before you set off !.

A puzzle cache based on TV theme tunes. Listen to the tunes, have a bit of a think, find the cache. Easy really !

Please note: the track running North from the parking coordinates is not passable by car - there is a large boulder blocking it. If you approach from the North and park at the boulder it is very difficult to turn around, far better to approach from the west.

In the late 1980's I visited these woods regularly to play the then brand new game of Paintball. At that time the whole area was covered in Red and Yellow paint splats and all the undergrowth trampled down. There were lookout towers, bridges, camps and trenches all crammed in to this little patch of woodland. I was pleasantly surprised to find that after 15 years the woods have recovered very well but those with a keen eye might still spot some remnant of all the mayhem. Whilst searching for a spot to hide the cache I noticed a couple of plastic test tubes which used to be used to hold paintballs for the old "Splat-Master" guns we used. Happy Times !

This cache box is the ammo can we were given at the North Yorkshire Meet - Year Three for winning the Year Two travel bug race.

It is stuffed full with a selection of top quality goodies including

  • a 4 port USB hub
  • a Radio
  • a Street Atlas of West Yorkshire
  • a Beanie Baby
  • some glow in the dark sticks
  • a sticky toy
  • a Torch
  • an O2 Sim Card
  • a caribina torch
  • a Five CD
