The old Hideout
This is a spot that as a kid we boys built a makeshift clubhouse and over the years other generations of Walstonburg kids have done the same thing in the same spot. As you come to this hideout you will first pass a brick building on your left just past some large gas tanks. That was the town jail. The cells are still inside with the doors but dont go in, private property.
As you enter the woods the large building on your left was the old cotton gin. As children we spent alot of time in there on a hot summer afternoon. Alot of the old equiptment is still in there. I would not recommend going in there tho because the floors are rotting out and you will fall through. We had alot of good times in that old gin, especially when we started letting the girls play with us. UPDATE: the old cotton gin has been torn down and is pretty much gone. Sorry.
