Geocache Description:

Yes this is a city park and it probably has a name (Lynch Neighborhood Park) however the city must not know it because they chose not to maintain the park. This should be a real easy cache to find so there are no hints except bring a pencil or pen because there is no room in the cache. Please do not go near the farm house that is in the east end of the park, the tenants living in the house get angry. This is a Undeveloped City Park that is held in trust by “Columbia Land Trust” on behalf of the City of Vancouver until moneys are found for its formal development. The name of the park is “Lynch Neighborhood Park.” I talked to the City of Vancouver Parks & Recreation and they asked that people stay well away from the farm house the is on the property because the Parks & Recreation has rented it out to a family that has nothing to do with the City, and we are requested to keep well away from the house to protect their privacy. I was also told that if there is found to be a problem with geocachers, then the city will ask me to remove the cache. Other then that yes you can go on the land. This is my first Cache and the first time I listed it, Soooo I decided to include a little PRIZE to the first Cacher that finds it. However the PRIZE is not in the cache only a description as to where the PRIZE is. So bring a GPS! OoooooK maybe that goes with out saying? Congratulations to Team Mt. Ban for being the first to find and log my first cache and collecting the PRIZE. In January 2008 there was a storm that passed through this cache and I had to make a few changes to it and the location. However you can still find the cache from the original coordinates. For persons having trouble understanding how to enter this “Undeveloped City Park” please Decrypt “Additional Hints” Bring a pin PLEASE NOTE; This is also a LETTERBOX Cache, bring your own pad also please do not take the stamp. New development: No Name Park now has a name, it is now Dollie and Ed’s Park. Ed and Dollie Lynch donated the 9.5 acres of land in 2002 to the Community Foundation of Southwest Washington. The city of Vancouver bought the property for $1 million that same year. Ed and Dollie Lynch were well known for their Philanthropy, but in 2010 Dollie passed away, and in 2015 Ed followed Dollie. The park was officially named Dollie and Ed’s Park in October of 2020 in honor of the legacy of Ed and Dollie. PLEASE bring your own pin and stamp pad. Again I hope you leave the STAMP, also bring your own pin and stamp pad
