By the Bar U Ranch Cache Traditional Cache

By the Bar U Ranch Cache is located near the historic Bar U Ranch south of Longview on highway 22. Access to the cache site should be good year round with caution taken after accumulations of rain or snow.

The By the Bar U Ranch Cache is a regular sized preform container with the usual geocache note, log and pencil.

The Bar U Ranch is a national historic site where ranch work is demonstrated. Parks Canada is working to protect and preserve the many historic buildings and landscape features on the ranch. The ranch includes the following features: range land - 367 acres; work horse barn; saddle horse barn; blacksmith shop; Pekisko Polo Club; cook house; storage sheds; log cabin; harness repair shop; Percheron Barn; chop house; ranch office and post office; gift shop; restaurant and a round up camp.
