Nicknamed “The Rock,” Ali Al Salem Air Base is an important and
busy hub for peacekeeping operations in the Middle
East. This micro is
located near a plaque and tribute to the joint operations
originating from here every day.
On 6 May 1997, after several months of negotiations, the flags of
the United States and Kuwait flew together for the first time over
this base in central
Kuwait. It’s daily
mission – to support troops in harms way.
The weather here is consistently hot, so please be careful when
retrieving the cache as there are many metal parts in the
area.
