A micro in the park at the south end of Mercer Island's business district.
The land this park is built on was originally cleared in the early 1960's as the site for an elementary school, but couldn't be used because it was too close to a liquor store and violated a state law. For years it was used as an athletic field and as the launch site for Mercer Island's fire works displays. It was eventually purchased from the school district by the city, and the current park was completed in 2002.
