To mark our 100th Cache, we thought we'd share a vey special place we have discovered with our fellow Cachers who have given us much enjoyment by setting their own Caches for us to find.
To ensure everyone approaches the Cache from the same location and gets the full benefit of discovering the site as we did, we have made the journey into a short Multi - there is one micro to find before moving on to the final location.
The co-ordinates listed above are for the suggested parking, where you can easily park about 15 cars. From here it is just a short walk to the Micro, which contains the co-ordinates for the final location. The Micro is in a 35mm film canister. As tree cover may affect GPS readings, for both the Micro and the Final Cache, we have included both a clue and a spoiler photo. As this area is popular with walkers, please take care when discovering this Micro.
From here, follow the main track into the woods and look for the obvious path to your right next to a stream. Take this path .... and then follow your GPS to discover 'The Hidden Valley'.
We have rated this cache a 3/4.5 as the terrain could be classed as quite difficult. You will almost certainly need to use your hands on the way up and possibly your bottom on the way down! There is a path all the way to the cache location, but it's not always that obvious and doesn't necessarily go in a straight line. If you are unsteady on your feet, or get a little wobbly with steep ground and heights (there are no sheer drops), this may not be the cache for you. Finn, who is almost 4 didn't have much of a problem with the route, although he used his bottom a lot and is completely fearless! You know your own abilities, so we'll leave it for you to judge.
When you get to the Final Cache location, take a moment to enjoy the views and the serenity of 'The Hidden Valley'.
