The “SH” in the cache name above signifies a Spirit Hunt, a project by the Miami Valley Geocachers to distinguish those caches that are set in cemeteries or memorial gardens. This cache is part of that series created by MVG members to highlight cemeteries in the area. This is a regular sized cache located in Madison County in the Paint Memorial Cemetery near London. Please be respectful of the area.

Paint Memorial Cemetery is located off of Old Xenia Rd near London, Ohio. The cemetery dates back to the early 1800's and is still active today. Superintendent of Cemetery Steve Cordell has granted permission for this hide. Please be respectful of the area and NO night caching is permitted per cemetery rules. As you cross the 'London Bridge' into the cemetery, to your right is the oldest section of the cemetery with several gravesites of civil war veterans and one of a confederate soldier. The cemetery is surrounded by farm land and woods which make for a very peaceful setting in the country. To the east of the cemetery on Old Xenia Rd. is a Madison County Historical marker that speaks of Indian history in the area. To the west on the corner of Old Xenia Rd and Roberts Mill Rd is a patch of woods that have been reported to be haunted. The cache container was a prize that we won at the Harry Potter Hogwarts event by Maggieszoo and is stocked with the usual kid-friendly cache swag and a couple travel bugs to start.
