I would particularly recommend that you allow sufficient time to
look around the former West Grinstead railway station site; there
is an old railway carriage converted to a small museum (usually
open at weekends) and the area has been subtly developed to attract
wild life; there is a small orchard tucked away on the road side of
the site. The signal can be operated at any time (and is much loved
by the little leprechauns). There are a few picnic tables and
benches if you want to bring your lunch!
There is a small car park (with height barrier) at the station
site - turn in to a small lane immediately adjacent to the former
Little Chef building.
The cache is a fairly easy walk or very easy cycle from the old
station. This cache went missing in December 2006 and was
temporarily replaced by a Micro. The Southseekers amazingly found
it after three months, deep in a rabbit hole, and the cache was
re-instated in April 2007!
