From the cache location, you have a view of Marble Arch, which
was seen in the episode 'Many Happy Returns'. From here, to enter
the underground world where The Prisoner (also known as Number Six
in the series, played by Patrick McGoohan) worked- or at least
resigned, take Entrance/Exit 3. At the bottom of the steps turn
left, and follow signs for Entrance/Exit 7. Before you get there,
you'll see a corridor off to your right with a pronounced dip in
it. This is the corridor 6 is seen walking down in the opening
credits. At the end you'll find a door which replaced the double
doors 6 throws open to the sound of thunder. Through them,
following the right hand wall of the underground car park, you'll
come to the entrance barriers and ticket machines seen in the
opening of Arrival, the first episode of 17, which 6 drives his
Lotus 7 (Reg KAR120C) under/through. The opening credits of the
series are iconic of the late 60's and have been spoofed and used
as a basis for many other things. Most of the credits were filmed
in London, as well as several scenes from the series. Especially
for the episodes, 'Many Happy Returns', 'Fall Out' and Do Not
Forsake Me Oh My Darling'.
