Geocache Description:

Park near the concession stand at Joe Sam's Leisure Park in Waterdown.
Cache is about the size of two sandwich containers (side by side) so it will not hold bulky items.

This is the first cache we have hidden:) Since the first cache we found was an easy family cache we wanted to add another one. We spend quite a bit of time at Leisure Park on the soccer fields so it seemed quite natural to hide one near by. A paved trail leads from the parking lot near the concession stand towards the Waterdown Wetlands Trail. You can walk (or bike) along the paved path most of the way or you can venture into the woods where the trail follows Grindstone Creek. The walk to the cache will take about 15 minutes depending on how fast you walk but it is much nicer if you take some time to enjoy the trail. This is suitable for kids as the terrain is flat. You may want to take some insect repellent as the area is a wetland but it is not bad in the late summer and fall as it is a bit drier. Original cache contents contain a few kids items and some useful items for adults. There is a scratch ticket for the FTF. Enjoy!
