Geocache Description:

Its all a  Matter of Time ....

Having been released from the place of custody just down the hill on Friday, I had little but a plastic sack containing my possessions and a cheque for £43.00 as my release grant.  Buses don't take cheques and nor do taxis.  How far is the nearest town. Why don't they give us maps?  After three months of being a good boy because I couldn't be anything else, now I am free and able to walk again at least.

Let me begin at the beginning......

Slippage, that's a term that's used to mean leave port in a ship or to lose time.  I have certainly done that.  Some Slovenian or a Croatian scuffer caught me, red handed almost.  I hadn't hurt anyone and all I stole was a box from an empty house.  A box long forgotten by its true owners I thought and to whom the contents were precious, I understood.  I was paid well to fetch it but my benefactor never saw a return.  This investigator heard I was planning the heist and laid in wait for me in secret.  He wasn't interested in justice, I don't think, greed was the thing that drove him and still does. I felt him close to me as I left the scene and was able to quickly hide the stash before he closed in.  Upset that he hadn't caught me with the box he had me framed as a common thief and I served a spell for the crown.  Actually I served some and was given some on the tag that I am wearing now.  That is one of the reasons I am not looking for the box myself but hoping you will help me find it.  I cannot leave a 5 mile area and I have a curfew after dark.  I hidden some boxes in some woods but I wont tell you here where to find them.  Instead I have devised a number of box locations some of which will give you clues to the maps' location and some that will give you information about the final stash.  Read everything carefully and you will have the rewards you deserve. I cant go get the map myself, as the guy that put me away is still watching me like a hawk and hoping I will lead him to the stash.

I found out recently that the people that hired me to get their box had hidden it as children and that has me intrigued as what could the contents be that it is so precious to them now. To find the final Hoard that I have been telling you about, you will need to find one more box and this time the work is in the getting to it not working out where to go.

The coordinates at the top of the page are for parking in the village and the information you need to collect comes from near the door of the church here. Find the following information and substitute the letter values in the waypoint formula to find the key to the Hoard. Its as simple as that.

The number of planks that make up the outer face of the outer door of the church is A
The number of nails that should be used to hold in place the escutcheon is B
The age of Mary Elizabeth Gooding at her death was CD

The key to the final hoard can be found at N 51 48.(C-D)(D+B)(D+A) W001 14.CC(D-1)

This cache was part of a series but is now standalone. Please remove any clue sheets you find here and enjoy the walk..
