September, and it's back to school time for cachers. We're having a little get together to do some group learning.
We'll meet upstairs at the "Alehouse" in Market square, starting around 11AM on Saturday, September 23rd. Share some tips, have a bit of a lunch, and learn something new.
Bring with you any "tricks of the trade" you have to share. We'll have a couple of computers, and internet access. Some of the topics we might want to explore are:
Loading Waypoints into your unit. (bring a cable if you have one!)
Geocaching Swiss Army Knife: it's features and limitations
Caches along a Route: New Feature on GC.com
Google Earth: Visualize caches in your area.
Paperless Caching: PPC or Palm software.
Feel free to suggest other topics. We probably won't be all that formal, just sharing in groups.
The event will start at 11AM, we'll have some lunch, and probably wind up before 2. This location has Free WIFI, so if you have anything that can make use of that, feel free to bring it. Also, as I say, bring any cables or the like...there may be some new cachers there who have never had the chance to use a cable to load up caches, and your cable may fit their unit.
Whether you've been caching 5 years or 5 days, found 2939 caches or have yet to find one... Come on out and meet the neighbours!
Let me know how many of you will be coming, so The Alehouse can provide us with seating/servers.
