This cache is located in a newly dedicated 'park' right on the walking path which people use extensively here in Rawlins. The path starts on Cedar Street, only a few hundred feet from this location, travels north parallel to the 287 Bypass, then circles around north of the rec center and the baseball fields. It then parallels 3rd street, crossing this street at one point, traveling through the grounds of the Old Pen and terminates on Walnut Street in front of the Old Pen. If you start at this cache and walk the path the entire length, you will have walked about 3 miles and been in close proximity to 5 geocaches. The 'park' this cache is found in is simply an area with a central plaque which is surrounded by planters with various greenery planted. It was thought up, designed, created and dedicated by the Rawlins Rotary Club as a service project. I hope you enjoy the area and the solitude. Muggles should not be much of a problem and if someone comes along, they should be on their way quickly. Enjoy!
