Traditional Ammo box cache plus pocketbooks for trade, located along side a section of the Grand valley trail.
This cache hosts a pocketbook exchange. Please take a book. Its a larger ammo box cache with books you can take or exchange. Registration is not required, but appreciated. Information can be found at www.bookcrossing.com.
Parking at N43 34.327 W080 28.792. The shoulder for parking is poor, but the traffic is light to non-existant.
The trail is blazed, but the entrance is not all that visible, but can be found by going south-west from the road T intersection. This trail is level, but rough and overgrown, and can be slippery when wet. Deet is required in mosquito season, although the hike is short, if you dare. It looks quite navigable for anyone skiing nearby.
Meters past the cache, you lookout over a wetland across to the Grand river. Enjoy the view. Can you see the overgrown wooden walkway across?
