Geocache Description:

This is an old dump site. As you walk along the beach you will see well-worn pieces of glass of many colours. The action of the water and sand have worn the glass smooth. Local people use this sea glass in crafts. Take time to wander along the beach.

We have enjoyed the caches on Texada Island and the beautiful locations for each one.

We decided to place a cache at a unique place as a thank you to the cachers on Texada Island.

Hope you like our choice!

The cache is a round camo'd lock & lock with the usual small trade items.

To avoid going on private property, park at N49 47.367 W124 37.726. This is exactly 1 km from the ferry at Blubber Bay on the main road south to Van Anda. There is a large turnout with a yellow gate to the pipeline road at one end. From this point it is a 10 minute walk on a level smooth crushed lime road to the cache.

Those of you who have already found it, may claim another as this is a totally new cache.

Thanks, Batwinged Hamburger Snatcher, for all your help in placing the new cache at the correct beach!!!!!

NOTE: November 24, 2011
The logging company may have gone back in to "clean up" and there are some piles of logs blocking the access off the road to the beach. One can walk down the road farther and come back at the cache without climbing over anything - just the straight line route is a a bit rough. Direct access involves some climbing over logs.
We have changed the terrain rating due to having to climb over logs.
