Come one, Come all the 1st GEOVAGUE Road Rally. Join the Geovague crew for a day of good company and great food. The party will begin at the above coordinates at 8:30 AM sharp for registration, hopefully we will get a 9AM start time or as close as possible. You must be there for the start of the rally.
There might even be a few party caches to find.
Save the date and come with your crew. The first Geovague Road Rally will take place in Chittenden County. The culminating event will be a picnic where all present will share good food, good company and a few awards in various award categories.
Awards will be presented for MOST DEVIOUS HIDE OF THE YEAR AWARD, MOST PROLIFIC CACHER OF THE YEAR AWARD, CACHER WITH THE MOSTEST (ALL STAR CACHER. These awards will be voted on by the GEOVAGUE community, please forward me your nominations and I will tally them up. I may not be one of those fancy accounting places but I think I can do a good job of adding. Please email me your nominations rather than post them to the site.
Rather than the usual party caches I have come up with a Road Rally Concept. You may compete individually or with a crew of up to four people. The catch for the team concept is that you must be all in one vehicle. We will meet at the above coordinates where the games will begin. You will receive ONE semi-official score card with all the party caches listed. You will then have a specific period of time in which to find as many of the 20-30 party caches of varying difficulty hidden throughout Chittenden County. The task is to find the greatest number of caches worth the most points in a set period of time and find your way to the picnic area. You will need to find a minimum of six caches to do this. Prizes will awarded based on points, number of caches and time. I have even dreamed up a couple of very interesting tie breaker type events should there be one.
