chaosmanor: After giving this more than ample thought, we have decided that it is time to shut this down. It had a good run, but the area is in bad shape and needs some time to recover. The two nearest caches are actually closer to this one than the tenth-mile limit, so a new one can't be hidden where this one was, anyway, so it's all to the good [:)]

Geocache Description:

There really should be a "warm-up" cache at the start of this trail; now there is [:)]

The original container vanished in the winter of 2007, and we decided that putting another of the same type wouldn't be a good idea. So we put the new one about 100 feet away, about ten feet off one of the three trails that start at the kiosk. This is now a CITO container, with a full log sheet, but you still need to bring your own pencil or pen as we forgot to put one in. The next time we come out this way, we'll take care of that.

Enjoy! The left-hand trail is an all-access trail that goes to the back of the campgrounds; it has two caches as of this writing. The other two loop up and around the hill to the east. Both splits from here will take you to Ocean Vista (GCWYDD) and the caches above and below that. Be sure to bring your camera. If you plan to hike all the way to Nicholas Flat, be sure to bring plenty of water!!
