To find this cache, be prepared for a half day, approximately 6 mile hike. Plan accordingly.
Take the Lakeshore trail and enjoy the hike. Older children and adults should enjoy the hike. Not recommended for younger children because of the length of the hike.
(If you plot the coordinates on a topo map, you will see that you can also enter at a forestry road and greatly reduce your travel time.)
This cache is the last of four in the Historical Geocache Tour at Holliday Lake State Park. The container is an ammo box with a logbook, an educational blurb about the area where you are standing, and some goodies to trade.
This area can have snakes (they like to bask on the rocks) so use a stick to prod under vegetation before reaching for something.
