Geocache Description:

A quick park and grab at the remains of a long lost cultural icon.

Nickerson Farms holds a special fondness in memories of my youth. Long before Cracker Barrel dotted the Interstate landscape, these familiar red roofed restaurants were frequent stops on my annual summer trek to my grandparents' ranch in western Kansas. Nickerson Farms outlets were full service restaurants, gas stations with attendants, and gift shops with a working plexiglass beehive to watch inside.

Besides the sign, there's not much left of this particular outlet. Only the foundation and some red tiles remain. There's evidence of potential redevelopment too. This magnetic keyholder has been placed just in the Nick of Time and will be here only until someone decides to build a new destination here.
